About Us
Neil, Sharon and Camie Widmer enjoy riding and training rodeo horses in
central Iowa. They strive to create sound, sane, all-around type of horses.
With their 100' x 200' indoor arena, the Widmers are excited to bring more
opportunities for men, women and youth in central Iowa to learn about and
compete in rodeo events year around at their indoor and outdoor arenas.
With one more place to keep riding during the winter, hopefully more
Midwestern cowgirls and cowboys will reach their goals, whether it be local,
regional or national level excellence.
Neil is a team roper, that has competed in the PRCA, IRCA, IRA, USTRC and
URA in several events on a variety of good horses.
Sharon is a barrel racer/trainer that also enjoys training pole bending horses
and is a "casual" team roper. She enjoys giving lessons and providing clinics
so others can excel. Sharon has barrel raced in the WPRA, IRCA, IPRA, IRA,
URA and NBHA, and has trained horses that have been successful at many
levels.

Camie is attending Southeastern Oklahoma State University and competes in College Rodeo in goat tying, team roping,
breakaway roping, and barrel racing. Rodeo is the focus of her life, with goat tying her passion. She won the 2009 Iowa
High School Rodeo Association state championship and finished 5th in the nation in goat tying in 2008 and 2009 at the
National High School Rodeo Association Finals in Farmington, New Mexico.
The Widmers have been involved in the production and promotion of many events since 1990. This includes involvement
with "Women's Pro Rodeo Today" (RFD-TV), World's Toughest Rodeo, All-Star Rodeo Challenge, Women's Professional
Rodeo Association & the WPRA World Finals, Event Connection, LLC produced festivals and rodeos, PBR (Professional
Bull Riders), Group W Productions, Acts for Events, and Pirahna Productions, Inc.
Producing jackpots and clinics is a new endeavor for the Widmers, but the goal at the Widmer Ranch is the same as at any
other event they are involved in. That is, having fun events that run smoothly. After all, if it isn't fun, why do it?
